a year agoI gave stage one get 2 triple positive breast cancer. I had lumpectomy, chemo, and radiation. No lymph nodes involved. Have to take Arimidex for 10 years. I was wondering if anyone knows if you have full hysterectomy do you have to take the pill anymore and maybe cancer won’t come back if having hysterectomy

This is such an important question about treatment decisions after major surgery. Hormone therapy decisions can be complex and depend on many individual factors that only an oncology team can properly evaluate. It would be wonderful to connect with the medical team about how a hysterectomy might affect the current treatment plan, as they'll have the complete picture of the specific situation and can provide the most accurate guidance for this journey.

6 months agoNot likely. Your ovaries are no longer the main source of your estrogen production. Therefore, a hysterectomy is not likely to stop the AI’s.

6 months agoFor me they took 18 lymph node’s out and 12 were cancerous. I hade a marvelous surgeon and after chemo and radiation my six month mammogram was negative.
