Hot flashes can be one of the more challenging side effects of tamoxifen, and there are several approaches that many people find helpful for managing them. Some find relief through lifestyle adjustments like wearing breathable fabrics, using fans, staying hydrated, and avoiding known triggers, while others discuss non-hormonal options with their healthcare team - it's definitely worth bringing this up at your next appointment to explore what might work best for your specific situation.

My Oncologist prescribed Gabapentin, which has helped.

I tried Gabapentin, broke out in hives.. 😂, so I went with effexor, a low dose. It definitely works for me.

When you're having a hot flash, put ice on your inside of your wrist. Those are major veins that will help cool you from the inside. I learned that from my restaurant days and did it all the time when I got hot flashes
