Zometa infusions can have varying effects from person to person, and it's great that you're reaching out to learn from others' experiences in the community. Many people find it helpful to hear about tolerance levels and side effects directly from those who've been through similar treatments. Consider sharing more details about any specific concerns you might have - this can help community members provide more targeted insights about their own journeys with this medication.

Yes, but takes a toll on your body for 48 hours. Flu like aching attacks on muscles

About to have my third infusion of comets. Had no effect from first two, but then again - been through so much that I might be numb. Ha ha. Be sure and let your dentist know.

I had flu-like symptoms- fever, aches, etc. after first 2 infusions which Lasted 2 or 3 days. It was very manageable but caught me off guard the first time because medical team didn’t warn me. Best of luck to you.

Last Oct surgery, 3 months of chemo every week and then radiation. Every 3 week herceptin infusions. Next week will be my last infusion. All this for her2+. Chemo was horrible, it's the muscle aches and unsteady feeling that I don't like. Now I'm on pills once a day.

My wife just finished her last of once a week 12 week chemo. Her2+ and negative, yikes. She began with a round of targeted chemo treatments 3 each three weeks. Has surgery in a month following by radiation all the while she'll be having infusions every 3 weeks until a year's worth is done. Also hormone blockers for 5 years in the pill form. So much poison in the body, yikes. Her last few chemos go to her with lots of neuropathy in hands and feet even though she wore cold/ freezing booties and gloves. Her doctors at SFMC have been great while in the SPY treatment program. What a journey you all face and or faced. My love goes to you all. Get well!
