Accepted Answer
Letrozole is a hormone therapy medication that's commonly prescribed for certain types of breast cancer, and many community members have experience with it. Since treatment plans can vary greatly based on individual circumstances and cancer characteristics, it would be helpful to discuss any questions or concerns about this medication with your oncology team. Other community members who have taken letrozole may be able to share their experiences if they choose to respond to your post.

6 months agoI’m on my second week on this medication. I take it at night along with two turmeric pills and a triple joint pain pill, and I’ve had no issues at all, thus far.

6 months agoI too was diagnosed her2+ and triple positive. Had lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. Was prescribed Letrozole for 5 yrs but about 4 weeks into it, I wouldn’t handle the join pain . I could hardly get up and walk. Researched the options and asked to be switched to exemestane. I still have joint pain and stiffness but less severe than before. Please advocate for yourself. God bless and good luck.

6 months agoI would like to take turmeric supplements too but scared to because I read research that says turmeric might stimulate estrogen production in the body.

6 months agoI didn’t tolerate the Letrozole very well, had to take so much pain meds just to function. Dr switched me to Anastrozole, same side effects just a bit less.
