21 days agoI have hormone-positive breast cancer and have completed surgery. My doctor recently started me on anastrozole as part of my ongoing treatment. I'm learning that this hormone blocker helps reduce the risk of my cancer returning by stopping estrogen production in my body. My doctor mentioned some possible side effects like hot flashes, joint pain, and bone changes, and said they'll be monitoring my bone health while I'm on this medication. I'd love to connect with others who have been through something similar and hear about your experiences. • How did you manage the day-to-day side effects from hormone therapy? • What do you wish you had known when starting this type of treatment?

12 days agoI have been on it for 2 yrs now and I have a small amount of joint pain in my shoulders but using a rowing machine helps as well as a skiing machine. The other thing I have noticed is I take it in the morning and then I kinda feel tired so I am wondering if taking it at night might be better . But I am 70 yrs old so maybe that’s why I’m tired
