a month agoHas anyone found any worthwhile treatments for chemo induced neuropathy in their hands and feet? Tingling and some numbness appeared after my final (6th) chemo session. It has been four months since then with little to no change. I am starting to think this is my new normal. I can still walk, golf, play the piano, but I am worried it’s permanent. I did 9 sessions of acupuncture but didn’t see any major improvement.

a month agoChemotherapy-induced neuropathy can be challenging to manage, and it's understandable to feel concerned about whether these symptoms will improve over time. Many community members have found relief through various approaches including physical therapy, certain medications prescribed by their oncology team, gentle exercise, and sometimes vitamin B supplements - though it's important to discuss any new treatments with your healthcare provider first. Consider reaching out to your oncologist about specialized neuropathy treatments or referrals to specialists who focus on managing these side effects.

a month agoAre you getting ice packs on your hands and feet during chemo? I always have it done (wear gloves and socks). It’s supposed to reduce neuropathy

a month agoYes, I did I ice packs on my hands and feet throughout chemo, so I was surprised neuropathy was a huge side effect; perhaps it could have been worse.

a month agoI had Reynaud’s before the cancer diagnosis and treatment. I’m done with chemo and radiation; i have more tingling and numbness in my fingers and feet now. I used icing gloves and footies during chemo but I don’t know whether they helped. I’m interested in any solutions that anyone has found!
