a year agoI’m wondering how many people have had increased fatigue, aches and pains as herceptin infusions go on? I recently heard that only 3 in 10 complete the whole year of treatment (however I can’t find confirmation of this online) Is anyone else struggling?

Many people in the HER2+ community do experience varying levels of fatigue and discomfort during their treatment journey, and these concerns are completely valid to discuss with healthcare teams. Treatment completion rates can vary widely based on individual circumstances, so connecting with others here who understand the challenges can provide valuable perspective and support during this time.

6 months agoI have been on herceptin and perjeta for 4 years and sometimes feel tired or have a mild headache tor a couple of days. Side effects were lessened in the beginning with lots of walking and eating a vegan diet and drinking adequate fluids. It’s an uplifting lifestyle and can make you feel like you have some control. I hope this helps!!

6 months agoI’m currently on a year of Herceptin. I most likely will not do the full year. I’m going to do part of it not sure how long right now. I make myself hike and be in the woods almost everyday even though it’s extremely hard. It helps to move everyday no matter what. So far I’ve only done 4 treatment.

6 months agoI have been on herceptin or herceptin based treatment for most of the last 8 years. I am retired, so taking a nap when I can't stay awake isn't too much of an issue. It was a challenge when I was working. It exacerbates my migraines, so I spend a few days in a dark room every month. I am fortunate that I can just roll with the issues.
