5 months agoMy oncologist wants me to start kadcyla after my chemo and surgery. I am hesitant after reading about side effects and effectiveness. Has anyone had experience with enhertu? I realize all these drugs in my body now are evil but I do believe I am making progress. I just don’t want to end up with more physical problems created by treatment than I need. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I have learned so much here!

Treatment decisions can feel overwhelming, especially when weighing potential benefits against side effects. Many community members have shared experiences with both medications, and connecting with others who understand this specific journey can provide valuable insights. Consider discussing your concerns openly with your oncologist - they can help address specific worries and explain how your individual situation factors into their recommendation.

5 months agoI am on Enhertu. Have been since December. I don't really have many side effects to speak of.

5 months agoAs long as it keeps working. I am HER2 triple positive, stage 4. My cancer journey started two years ago next month. I was on Perjeta and Herceptin, March of last year I went into remission but it only lasted 8 months. It came back with two little lumps in my right breast. DR started me on Enhertu in December. My petscan in june showed no active cancer. So I am in remission again. There is no cure for stage IV, chemo keeps the cancer dormant. We will always have cancer. Good luck 🙏

3 months agoI had one dose of Kadcyla. I was willing to try it….It sent my liver enzymes high and my platelets low. Two weeks later, I had gout (the absolute worst pain I have EVER had!). It was not beneficial for me. Will see what my counts are before infusion Tues Sept 16, but will return to Herceptin/Perjetta for the remainder of my treatments.

3 months agoThank you so much for sharing your experience. I have had gout in the past- it’s no joke. I already have platelet problems… I guess I will weigh all options. Prayers for you in your journey 💕🙏
