a year agoHas anyone taken Nerlynx (neratinib)? Has anyone been screened with CERIANNA for recurrences? Has anyone taken Zometa?
Accepted Answer
These are all important treatment questions for the HER2+ community. Each of these medications and screening tools serves different purposes in breast cancer care, and hearing from others who have experience with them can provide valuable insights about what to expect. Community members who have used Nerlynx, undergone CERIANNA screening, or received Zometa treatments may be able to share their experiences with side effects, scheduling, and practical tips that could be helpful as you navigate these options with your medical team.

6 months agoI am just finishing a year of Nerlynx. I was unable to tolerate full dose ( lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks). So I was on 120 mg. My body adjusted pretty well. Fatigue, cramping ( muscles hands feet etc) are my biggest issues.

6 months agoThanks for so much for your reply. I had severe diarrhea on chemo TCHP. I have also had cramping in my legs and feet at times but no real neuropathy. I am triple positive. My MAMMAPRINT / BLUEPRINT categorized me as Luminal B. I am MP-2 which is ultra high for recurrence. I had one positive node with 4mm macro metastasis, extranodal extension and lymph vascular invasion. So, I am terrified of a recurrence. I had my lumpectomy a year ago. I understand that recurrences occur around year 3. I am about to finish Phesgo- my last treatment is 9/23/24. Why factors made you decide to take Nerlynx and how long out are you from completing the Nerlynx?

6 months agoI was unable to finish taxol and Herceptin because of pneumonitis and neuropathy. So my Oncologist said that I qualified for nerlynx b/c it could now be considered high risk. I never got diarrhea. But 90% of people do. I had stomach issues, fatigue cramping but my body calmed down after about 2 mos. Good luck! I’m done next week

6 months agoIt is a type of PET scan but I think they inject with a radio stardom and track it during the PET/MRI. I think you need to be Estrogen positive and what they are looking for is metastasis.

6 months agoIt will be a year when I quit later this month. So on Tamoxifen. Couldn’t tolerate aromatase inhibitor. I’m being told no follow up other than mammogram. I guess because it isn’t that bad. Stage 1 grade 2 triple positive
