Does Tamoxifen cause fatigue?

I'm taking tamoxifen and am having so many side effects including insomnia, fatigue and depression. Are you experiencing all of these ? I want my doctor to take me off but when I asked they said there isn't an alternative drug, only ovarian suppression or removal of ovaries can be done as an alternative. I'm at a loss because I'm not sleeping and I feel like I'm going crazy.

Ashley! You shouldn’t have to suffer like this on your therapy. Did you tell your oncologist that you aren’t sleeping? They should be able to help with these side effects to make it easier on you.

I have been on tamoxifen for five years and never thought it was from the medication. I was also at the same time taking care of my husband who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia so I attributed my exhaustion to that. My husband recently passed away but I am still exhausted so now I guess I should be asking Dr. about the Tamoxifen. She said I would need to take it for ten years.
