2 years agoI’m on tamoxifen and it seems that my anxiety is getting worse some days. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to take that is not a prescription? Prescription medications seem to make the anxiety worse. Thanks

6 months agoI battle with anxiety. My non-medication options that I do are: adequate sleep, organic herbal tea (chamomile and others that reduce stress), meditation with guided imagery, breathing exercises, doing something outside (I garden), Magnesium, L-theanine., vit D. And Prayer and reading the Bible. I haven't started yet but I woke imagine gentle exercises like walking would help

6 months agoI had to quit alllll forms of caffeine. That was a tough one for me as I love my cup of coffee in the morning. Magnesium helped me esp at night. Vit D and L-theanine. (Check with your doc. I know you know.) Walking helps…and sunshine. However, there are still some days that nothing helps at all. I think that’s just the way it goes for me. (Diagnosed in November 2023. Er Pr+ Her-)

6 months agoYears ago, I was suffering from anxiety and ended up being prescribed Xanax. I became addicted to this medication. As my anxiety became worse, I went to a naturopath and was given Drenatrophin PMG from the brand: Standard Process. I was able to easily overcome my Xanax addiction, with no withdrawal symptoms, and put an end to my anxiety issue. Drenatrophin is like food specifically for your adrenal glands. It's a neutraceutical, not a pharmaceutical. If your adrenals are depleted, you will suffer from anxiety. I don't know what the source of your anxiety is, yet a visit to a naturopathic doctor could put you on a good path to overcoming your anxiety.

6 months agoNot normally an anxious person, however with my recent cancer diagnosis (3rd one)was feeling anxious and depressed. Have discovered some help on YouTube - self hypnosis/sleep videos - they are meditative, calming voices/music. Michael Sealey has sleep/healing sessions, however currently using “The Mindful Movement - Using your beautiful mind: healing deep sleep self hypnosis.”Honestly thought this was ridiculous, but using nightly and have been sleeping better and focusing on healing myself & somehow less anxious. Perhaps the mind can help us heal. Hope this might help you - years ago had tamoxifen and it is a bitch to handle - sending you healing prayers.

6 months agoThank you Rose on the tip about Drenatropin. I have been on Letrozole for 3 1/2 years and really battle from anxiety and diagnosed with adrenal fatigue. My dr’s really do not know really what to do. Partly because I do not want to take prescription meds. I just ordered and look forward to trying. I do a lot of prayer meditation and exercise but that is not always enough. Kicked caffeine and anything that has fake energy in the very beginning. Stage lV metastatic ER+ been through tx 3 times. It has been a long 8 1/2 years but I am still here and fighting. Every little tip helps. 💕
