Finding something new during treatment can be really scary and it's completely natural to feel worried about this discovery. The most important step right now is to contact your medical team as soon as possible to have this examined - they can properly evaluate what this might be and determine if any additional testing is needed. Many things can cause lumps in that area, and your doctors have the expertise and knowledge of your specific case to give you the guidance you need. Has anyone else in this community had a similar experience during their treatment journey?

Did you have plastic surgery as part of the process? Moving tissue around etc. could just be part of that. Mine feels hard.

No plastic surgery.I think it could be LN may be reactive , no pain but worried as it was not there before lumpectomy.

Hi Farah, did you have the Oncotype test done? Please, contact your surgeon and oncologist to confirm nothing is wrong there. I wish you the best. If you have an incision in your axils due to sentinel LN removal, maybe that's it.❤️ I am sending you positiv vibes🙏

I had a seroma in my breast 7 days after my surgery. It was large so didn't feel like a lump. Just tender and swollen.

I had a lump under my arm after my surgery & all during chemo & radiation. My surgeon did an ultrasound & said it was scar tissue. I wanted it out whatever it was. Turned out it had 3 more positive lymph nodes in it. You never know so best decision is always too remove it.

Hello, Farrah I was diagnosed with IDC, lumpectomy on April 30, 2024, Stage 1 1.9 cm mass right inner breast, ER/PR+, Her2 negative, clear margins, 2 axillary lymph nodes negative for cancer. Oncotype DX score 30, 15% benefit to chemotherapy surgeon oncologist referred me to medical oncologist. Seen my medical oncologist on June 25, 2024. She recommended 4 cycles rounds of Taxotere (Docetaxel) and cyclophosphamide every 3 weeks, every 21 days. Started Round 1 of 4 TC chemotherary on July 11, 2024. I had just finished my 4 rounds of Taxotere (Docetaxel), Cyclophosphamide (TC() yesterday on October 10, 2024. My 3rd round of 4 Taxotere (Docetaxel), Cyclophosphamide (TC) on September 19, 2024 side effects were worse than my first 2 rounds of chemotherapy. After chemo Day 6-7 my right foot heel and the side including discoloration color look like a sunburn, very dry skin was experiencing really bad soreness and pain causing me to have difficulty walking. I rub some CBD location my daughter gave me, wrap my foot with Ace brand elastic bandages, occasionally wear a pair of knee high compression socks, elevate my legs and foot with a pillow, taking Aleve and Gabapentin for pain. On the day of the chemotherary the oncologist nurse did apply UDENYCA auto injection on my abdomen to prevent my white blood cells count from getting too low and a infection, blood tests to check my white and red blood cells count, platelets. Other side effects I experience were headaches, loss of appetite, loss of taste, chills, occasionally sore throat, ear pain, abdomen pain, loss of hair, muscle and joint pain, dizziness, occasionally back pain, some nausea, no fever and vomiting. See my radiologist oncologist on November 4, 2024 to discuss radiation treatments. I haven't started hormone therapy yet. Sending you prayers 🙏
