3 years agoNew one this week for me! You know how everything gets so dry on hormone therapy? Well I started getting nose bleeds and I guess it’s because our nasal passages can get all dried out too. Just wanted to share in case it happens to you…no need to panic!

Thank you for sharing this helpful insight about nasal dryness and nosebleeds during hormone therapy. This side effect can catch many people off guard, so bringing awareness to it is really valuable for others who might experience something similar. It's always wise to mention new symptoms to your healthcare team, especially if nosebleeds become frequent or concerning.

5 months agoI wish my nose would dry up! All I’ve done is blow it since chemo! All my other hair grew back including my chinny ones! But no nasal hair! I do get dry mouth since I got on Letrozole. Just keep my water by my bed.💕

5 months agoFor acute nose bleeds, my ENT advised me to saturate a cotton ball with Afrin nasal spray and insert it in the bleeding nostril to constrict the leaking blood vessel or area. Afterwards, Bacitracin or Aquaphor 2x a day to keep the nasal passages lubricated and moist. It works for me.

5 months agoThank you! I’ve been having trouble with nosebleeds too. I was assuming it had something to do with my having low platelets. But this makes sense!

5 months agoA cool mist humidifier at night and saline nasal mist use 2 times a day with Xclear nasal spray really helps for dry nose issues. I sometimes get sore nasal passages, so I also use Ayr nasal gel sometimes.

5 months agoStarted getting nosebleeds with 1st round of chemo, I am on Tamoxifen now, they have improved but I still have at times. I too get the sore nasal passage, like there is a pimple on the inside of my nose.
