This is such an important question for those navigating hormone receptor-positive breast cancer treatment. Vaginal estrogen safety can depend on many individual factors, including specific treatment plans and medical history. Consider discussing this with your oncology team, as they can provide personalized guidance based on your unique situation and help weigh any potential benefits and risks together with you.

I was having a lot of itching and dryness after my first infusion. Like the Sahara Desert 🌵🐪. I started doing a little research and it’s so frustrating that this isn’t something that is covered by insurance. I also found that coconut oil can help. After I shower I have started using as an all over moisturizer. Skin everywhere is less itchy and I smell like a mounds bar too!🥥. Do your research as most is positive, but some is not favorable. I’m just doing it because it’s a cost effective solution for me.

I had used Bio- hormones for years. My oncologist said NO more. I am taking anastrozole to stop hormones so why would I take something that could interfere with that.

I use vitamin e vaginal suppositories about once a week. Used them before the cancer diagnosis and have had good results.

I've heard different answers from different doctors. The Danish study concluded vaginal estrogen is safe for Tamoxifen users but AI users did have higher recurrence rates. I don't know how much higher. It's frustrating to get conflicting info from doctors & researchers.

Who knows?! I was told yes, absolutely and then no and then it is probably safe but only should use it if everything else fails to help. So frustrating! Anyone have any solid answers from their oncologist?

I have been told not to use it as I have ER+ cancer receptors.
