a year agoI was dx 3 yrs ago July 1st….Lobular infiltrate L breast…had mastectomy with reconstruction same time. Radiation tx 3.5 months later, had to hold RA medications. Had breast reduction to R side 1 yr post radiation. Did pretty well except with AI…tried them. Actually made 1yr of tx on them…stopped due worsening RA, pain/swollen joints. Just recently noted swelling to my L lower arm which I am able to see up arm. Oncologist states it is early lymph node edema. Has anyone experienced this? I had OT therapy. Just wondering.

Lymphedema after breast cancer treatment is unfortunately a common concern that many people in this community have faced. The swelling symptoms mentioned can be particularly challenging to manage, but early detection and occupational therapy are positive steps forward. Many community members have found it helpful to share their experiences with compression garments, specific exercises, and daily management strategies that have worked for them. Consider connecting with others here who may have navigated similar challenges during their recovery journey.
