I’m pr+ er+ her 2 - waiting for a double mastectomy and have lots of shoulder pain on the left side. Is this related to the cancer?

Shoulder pain can have various causes, and while it's natural to wonder about connections to your diagnosis, it's important to discuss any new or concerning symptoms with your medical team. They can properly evaluate your specific situation and provide guidance on managing discomfort as you prepare for your upcoming procedure.

Do you have a previous injury there? I had the same thing. After surgery had to have a reconstruction of the shoulder.

Not that I’m aware of that’s why I was curious of it could be coming from the cancer

I, too, had very sharp left shoulder pain which felt like someone speared my back left side. This was a year prior to diagnosis of PT+ ER+ HER2-…. I have not received any answers about the pain…

Yes. About two months before, I was diagnosed with BC I could barely raise my left arm without horrible pain 😢

I too had shoulder pain that was steady, before I had my mastectomy, but shortly after mastectomy there is little to no pain present
