Anyone on Letrozole have suggestions for lower back pain? I have been on it for about 10 days and pain started this morning and doesn’t subside with walking or stretching

Many people taking Letrozole experience joint and muscle discomfort as a common side effect, so this concern is definitely worth discussing with your healthcare team, especially since the pain doesn't seem to respond to your usual relief methods. Have others in the community found specific approaches that helped them manage similar discomfort while on hormone therapy?

I really struggled with lots of joint pain and low back pain when I first started. I had back surgery decades ago and it zeroed in there for some reason. It took about 2 to 3 months to get better. Walking swimming and acupuncture helped. Now 2 1/2 yrs in of Letrozole. Hang in there. There are other AIs if you can't tolerate the Letrozole. Sending good thoughts your way.

I have muscle and tendon pains on letrozole and seems to be worse where I’ve had previous bursitis in my hip and fractured patella. My oncologist suggestedKrill oil capsules and they have definitely helped along with exercise

Also started Letrozole about 10 days ago - definitely having stiffness in my back that I have not experienced before… Going to try a gentle yoga class at local cancer wellness center next week in case that will help

Hi Lia. I started letrozole about 3 months ago. Honestly the first month was rough and then it was like over night the side effects subsided. I hope you have the same experience.

Thank you, Joelle. I’m so glad to hear that! I’m hearing that from a lot of women lately. Thank you for sharing and stay well.💜

Thank ALL for you all for your encouragement and support…. I am hoping the side effects subside and improve… starting yoga next week and a lymphedema movement class (also weekly) - will look into some of those supplements mentioned and discuss with my oncologist at my follow up
