Many people in this community have shared their experiences with Verzenio, and it's helpful to know what to expect when starting a new treatment. Common side effects that others have discussed include fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, and changes in blood counts, though everyone's experience can be different - your care team can give you the most personalized information about what to watch for and how to manage any effects you might experience.

6 months agoYes. Have been on V for a year now with 1 yr to go. Side effects, while infrequent, include stomach cramps and diahrrea. While unpleasant, they only lasted an hour or so and I felt normal after. I did experience a staph infection (on radiated breast) and they halted V for 8 weeks, concerned it would limit healing. Hope that helps

6 months agoPam, do you mind sharing what your symptoms were required to your staph infection? I'm having intermittent pain in my left breast where I had my radiation. I had an echo and my cardiologist said no pericarditis. Just wondering where the pain is coming from, or rather why. It's it just "normal" to have odd pains like this?

6 months agoYes. On Verzenio with really bad stomach cramps and diarrhea. I have frequently taken the max dose of Imodium to get relief. I also have added prescription meds for stomach pain and nausea. I resort to applesauce and bananas when I am at my worst. It is a very difficult drug in my experience but it is keeping my cancer at bay.

6 months agoRe the staph infection. I had micropigmentation done by a plastic surgeon but the radiated breast never healed. After 6 months the infection set in and the implant had to be removed.

6 months agoThank you Pam. I'm so sorry to hear that you had that happen. I hope that you are doing better. My symptoms are different. They are still present. I have MRI and a mammogram scheduled for next week. Well see what they say about it then
