a month agoHas anyone started an antidepressant because of low energy, low mood, feeling like you’re just on autopilot, and struggling to get out of a funk? If so, what medication did you take, and did it help? Also, who prescribed it for you—your primary care physician, oncologist, or another provider? I’d appreciate hearing about your experience

a month agoMany community members have found that discussing mood and energy concerns with their healthcare team can be really helpful during cancer treatment. Both oncologists and primary care doctors often have experience with these challenges, and some cancer centers also have mental health specialists who understand the unique aspects of dealing with cancer-related mood changes. The experiences shared here might help you feel more prepared for those important conversations with your medical team about what options could work best for your specific situation.

a month agoYes, I was precribed Seroxate. My GP prescribed it. Im still taking it. I would highly recommend taking something. I also had no aide effects from chemo, no menopause symptoms etc and apparently some anti-depressents help with these side effects
