8 months agoHas anyone with stage 1 had Signatera test done? My oncologist has ordered CA 27.29 test for me a couple times, my score is in the normal range but suggested the Signatera test for peace of mind going forward. I have heard mixed reports on this as sometimes you can get a false positive that results in scans, etc. which would naturally cause anxiety. I’m not sure what to do.

This is such a thoughtful question about monitoring options after stage 1 diagnosis. The decision between different monitoring approaches can feel overwhelming, especially when weighing the benefits of early detection against the stress that false positives might cause. Many people in this community have navigated similar decisions about testing options, and the considerations around peace of mind versus potential anxiety are very real. This would be a great discussion for others who may have experience with Signatera or similar monitoring approaches to share their perspectives.

6 months agoKaiser doesn't order anything and my old dr was ordering signatera and I really felt at peace now I'm trying to fight to get something done either 27-29 or signatera.

6 months agoIf you are interested in Signatera, you can call the company that makes it, they will tell you that right now, Signatera will have no cost to you. After your insurance denies the claim, Natera will appeal, then when it gets denied again, after a second appeal, Natera will absorb the cost. They are doing this as they need more data to gain credibility.

6 months agoThis was my experience too. Insurance will likely deny it but Natera (Signatera test company) will absorb the cost.
