3 months agoHello I am one week off of finishing my radiation treatment; my nipple is so sore! It hurts. Any recomendations? Thanks

Nipple soreness after radiation is a common experience that many in this community understand. Consider speaking with your care team about gentle moisturizers or other comfort measures they recommend, as they can suggest options based on your specific treatment area and skin condition. Many find relief through various approaches, so reaching out to others here who may have navigated similar challenges could provide helpful insights and support.

3 months agoAmazon sells little 4 inch round hot/cold packs with soft flocking on one side. Just right for nipple soothing. I used them after my lumpectomy but they are billed as helping with radiation breast pain, too. Good luck.

3 months agoI have a great ointment to recommend—it’s completely natural and made only from plants. I used it during my RT, and it helped me tremendously. Even my doctors asked me to bring it to the office so they could recommend it to other BC patient. It is available on ebay only. Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=melprop+d&_trksid=p4432023.m4084.l1313. The ointment is made by an MD

2 months agoOMG! Today my nipple started hurting like mad, and I have just finished my first week of radiation! I was told not to use ice, but I'm contemplating trying it anyway. It actually feels bruised and tender, not like the nerve pains I get inside the breast.

2 months agoTalk to you radiologist and/or team about creams that you could use. It also depends where your cancer was located, ie: near to your nipple. The radiayion beam will target that area.
