I was dx in 2020… Stage 2 B… 3 positive nodes out of 11 tested. Left breast Lumpectomy and extensive axillary dissection. After surgery and first chemo a genetic test was ordered. I carry PALB 2 mutation. Recently when showering I detected 2 lumps in the right axillary area. It can only be felt when my arm is fully extended above my head and I cannot detect in any other position. I am calling oncologist in am and asking for mammo and ultra sound. My original dx revealed pathology on cells were poorly differentiated and my KI 65 score was 69…. I am very anxious over this. 😡

Finding new lumps after a previous cancer diagnosis understandably brings up intense anxiety and worry. Taking action by contacting your oncologist right away and requesting imaging shows excellent self-advocacy during this stressful time. The waiting period before getting answers can feel overwhelming, but reaching out to this supportive community while navigating these concerns is a positive step that many others here can relate to.
