This is such an important question that many people in the HR+ HER2- community face, especially when dealing with hormone-related treatments. Vaginal atrophy can be managed through various approaches including moisturizers, lubricants, and sometimes prescription treatments - it's definitely worth discussing all available options with your healthcare team to find what works best for your specific situation.

Your gynecologist can refer you for physical therapy. I did a few sessions and learned a lot to help me, including kegel exercises. They mentioned other lubricants but I did over-the-counter works for me right now.

Hi, my gynecologist prescribed me Estradiol vaginal cream and my oncologist approved it. Both said it is ok to use it considering my BC was HR+,HER2-. I use the smallest dose twice a week and it helps. In between I use coconut oil.

I also had to add vaginal estrogen due to anastrozole , now letrozole. My recipe to keep the girl parts feeling OK is ...Prescription intrarosa 2 to 3 times a week. A tiny bit of vaginal estrogen on the opposite days. Then Replens everyday. I but the tube of Replens, I use a tiny bit of it by massaging it on the outside and inside. I wear a glove to do that. When you massage it inside with 1 finger concentrate on applying slight pressure to stretch your tissue a little. I know that's alot of information but I think someone might benefit from it

When I looked up intrarosa, it said I should not take it since I’ve had breast cancer ER+ PR+. It sounds like it would have been perfect for me.

The company's will all say not to use it because they don't want to be sued. It's DHEA,not estrogen. Even vaginal estrogen is just absorbed locally. Just use a little bit. I tried a new Replens cream yesterday. So amazing,it's called Replens external comfort gel. I got on Amazon 1.5 Oz tube. Love it. Remember not to use too much of anything at 1 time because too much product can irritate you. Less is more.

My ocologist nixxed the vaginal estrogen due to my early stage 1 IDC. There seems to be a split of opinion on that one….

Strange, because when my gyno suggested estrogen vaginal cream, I double checked with my oncologist and GP. All of them approved with the explanation that it is absorbed only locally. I have stage 1 IDC, ER/PR positive and HER 2 negative. When you check on credible websites, they say the same.

Ive been using Estrdoil cream, small amt, twice a week for well over a year just to give vaginal wall structure a bit of support. Ive had a lot of recurring UTI while on the fluvestrant hormone blocker.

Thank you everyone for responding. My onco said to try revaree first and if that doesn't help, we will use Estrdoil.
