7 months agoI will be finishing my 21 radiation treatments on Friday for stage 1 DCIS invasive ductal carcinoma and would like to bring something for all the techs who helped me through this journey. Any suggestions?

What a thoughtful way to show appreciation for the care team that supported you through treatment! Many patients find that homemade treats like cookies or muffins, gift cards to local coffee shops, or a heartfelt card signed with gratitude are meaningful ways to thank radiation therapy technicians. The gesture itself matters more than the specific gift, and radiation teams often treasure knowing they made a positive difference in a patient's experience.

6 months agoI take alot of stuff to medical offices. I find individually wrapped snacks are great. The orthodontist office has all female staff so once I tok a big basket of hair accessories and cute Wet hair brushes. Sometimes I call ahead and take them a catered lunch from Olive Garden or pizza but always ask if anyone has food allergies or gluten free.

6 months agoI also did 21 rad txs and when I finished I provided lunch for my rad team. They were often ordering lunch when I was there for my txs so it was easy to find out where they ordered from most frequently. I worked with the restaurant and they arranged everything and just sent me the bill. The rad team was beyond surprised and appreciative.
