Switching from Faslodex to Orserdu: Experiences?

Has anyone made the leap from Faslodex to Orserdu yet? I’m nervous but the possibility of not having that shot to the bum anymore is very appealing!

Switching treatments can definitely bring up mixed feelings - the hope for a more convenient option along with natural concerns about something new. Many in the HR+ HER2- community have shared similar thoughts about treatment transitions, and connecting with others who've made this specific switch could provide valuable insights about their experiences with both the benefits and any adjustments they needed to make.

I emphatically told my onco dr NO BONE DRUGS!!! Too many side effects for organs. I do a Pure Health vitamin régimen and Nativepath collagen Supplements. Last Dexa before Letrozole I was barely in osteopenia. I don’t have another Dexa for 2 years so I’m not waiting around for my bones to disintegrate. My bff has osteoporosis at -4.2. She is a vegan with no cance. Her levels went up 2 points just with vits alone. If she can do it so can I. I also walk regularly and go to the gym across the street for free on Silver Sneakers. 💕

That's great to hear Donna. I have so far refused bone meds. My dexa is -2.8 in lumbar spine. Borderline osteopinea in the femoral necks. My mom refused five years ago and the doctor looked at her like she was crazy and said "You realize your choosing quality of life over quantity of life." My mom and I looked at each other and back at her and said "Yes!" In unison. She said she guessed that was a valid choice. I chose tamoxifen over AI for the same reason and my dexascan just confirmed that decision for me. I'm on calcium and D3. Thinking about adding k2 just researching the best dose. Also joined the gym.

Rebecca- pure Health bone vits but i only take two a day not 5 bc my dr said you can overdose on vit D and calcium. I also take Nativepath collagen two scoops a day in my coffee morning and evening. My Dexa after rads was -1.7, barely in osteopenia. I exercise reg and walk daily but I have t been bc I had shingles and it really made me tired. Coming out of it now so I have to get bk to it. No Dexa for a long time but I’m not going to sit around either.💕🙏🥰

Mia M. I am wondering if you started Orsedu yet. I feel like I will be heading there someday given my cancer make up.

Myrna I chose to take Tamoxifen over AI’s and have the same results from my Dexa scan as you. Have you had any issues with tamoxifen
