a year agoHas anyone taken the goserelin implants along with 2.5 mg Letrozole? I have been reading the side effects, and I am not sure I want to take them. My MammaPrint test did indicate a 9.5% benefit of long-term of 7-10 years.

Many community members have shared experiences with goserelin and letrozole combinations, and it's completely understandable to have concerns about potential side effects when considering any treatment plan. The decision about hormonal therapies can feel overwhelming, especially when weighing the benefits shown in genomic tests against quality of life considerations. Consider discussing these specific concerns with your oncology team, as they can help put the MammaPrint results in context of your individual situation and explore ways to manage any side effects that might occur.

6 months agoI am currently receiving monthly goserelin injections along with a daily dose of Tamoxifen. I haven't had any major side effects. I have hot flashes and a reduced appetite mainly. Fatigue is still an issue off and on, but other than the pain of the injection, it hasn't been too bad.

6 months agoI’m on Lupron(similar to gosserelin just different chemical). 3 months in and do very well with it. A few hot flashes at night. I did add letrozole in August but had some bad side effects. My oncologist switched me to anastrozole and I’m good. Just wake up at night hot. I get acupuncture. Don’t read too much, I did and I was terrified.. still am sometimes but remind myself I’m fine!

6 months agoYes, I've taken both for 4.5 years. I've had no side effects whatsoever. I'm told only 11 to 15% of people have 0 side effects. Hopefully, you're one of them also.
