This is such an important question that many people in this community may be wondering about. Recurrence concerns after stopping hormone therapy are completely understandable, and connecting with others who have similar experiences can provide valuable insights and support. Hopefully some community members will be able to share their experiences with you, and it might also be helpful to discuss your specific situation and any concerning symptoms with your oncology team.

Jeanne - how long has it been that you have not taken them? Have you incorporated any natural therapies into your regime? I am looking into natural routes and would be interested to know.

I had a reoccurrence just after I finished my 5 year mark from my second cancer diagnosis. I’m now stage 4. I have Mets to my bones. Apparently anastrazole wasn’t working for me. I do have 3 different gene mutations, 1 is specifically for cancer cells mutating while on a treatment plan. Dang cancers cells are smart and become immune from the drugs.

Tracey R I am sorry to hear this for you! I am on the beginning of the drug. May I ask what gene testing you did to learn this? Hang in there, sending good thoughts.

Tracey what cell mutation causes mutation while in treatment? What was your first cancer diagnosis?
