Diagnosed with Mets breast cancer, had surgery on my head. They said they got the tumor. Then had radiation. September 5th my ctpaidleave act ends and I have to go back to work. How do I even start that?

Returning to work after cancer treatment can feel overwhelming, especially when dealing with the physical and emotional adjustments that come with recovery. Many people in this community have found it helpful to start by having an open conversation with their employer about any accommodations they might need, such as a gradual return schedule, flexible hours, or modifications to their workspace. Consider reaching out to your HR department to discuss options under the Americans with Disabilities Act, and don't hesitate to involve your healthcare team if you need documentation for workplace accommodations.

Can you get a work from home agreement through your place of employment? Other than the time that I took off for surgeries, I had a disability agreement that allowed me to work from during chemo and radiation.

I’m a CNA. Can’t work from home. I just don’t know what to do from here. Been a CNA for 20 years. Worked hard and now nothing.
