3 months agoManaging side effects from hormone therapy like Letrozole can be really challenging, and many community members have shared similar experiences with hot flashes and sleep difficulties. Gabapentin is sometimes prescribed off-label for these symptoms, and hearing from others who've tried it could provide valuable insights for your discussion with your healthcare team. Connecting with fellow community members who understand what you're going through can offer both practical tips and emotional support during this difficult time.

a month agoLadies, I had to stop endocrine therapy. It was absolutely destroying my quality of life, and I really think the stress, depression and insomnia it caused could lead to a recurrence. I just rely on a targeted therapy, (Lynparza,) and the metabolic diet to stay recurrence free. It’s been several months since I stopped taking any endocrine blockers, got off ALL sleep prescriptions, and am finally sleeping 7-8 hours a night. Thank G-d. I feel human again.

a month agoGabapentin does not help with flashes or sweats. I’m not sure it helps with my foot pain or back pain but I have been on 400 at night for years.

a month agoVicki. I totally get it. I sleep somewhat ok with sleep aids, sometimes - sometimes not, but it wrecks me the next day. And I have some joint pain. Srsly considering alternatives.

a day ago300mg of Gabapentin plus Magnesium enables me to sleep 5 nights out of 7. I was on Letrozole for a year. Starting Exemestane tonight to see if it lessens my joint pain.
