2 years agoHi everyone! Dx Denovo metastatic breast cancer - bone only in Aug 2019. Currently on Piqray. If I progress on Piqray, will insurance approve newly fda approved Truqap? I can’t find data on patients who were on Piqray and then tried Truqap? Thanks!

Insurance coverage for newer FDA-approved treatments can vary significantly between different insurance plans and providers, so it's worth discussing this directly with both your oncology team and insurance company to understand your specific coverage options. Many community members have found it helpful to work with their healthcare team's financial counselors or patient advocates who can assist with prior authorization processes and explore alternative coverage options if initial requests are denied.

6 months agoAccording to my oncologist, if u progress on piqray, trucap is the next option. There is no data bc it's still so new. Any pts on trucap have only been on it for 2 months or less and 4 mos is usually a treatment cycle. Good luck!
