I have stage 0 bladder cancer and I'm currently receiving BCG treatment. I just read about some promising research from ASCO 2026, including the POTOMAC study that looked at combining durvalumab (an immunotherapy) with BCG for high-risk patients. While I'm just starting my BCG journey, it's encouraging to see advances being made in bladder cancer treatment. I'd love to connect with others who have similar experiences, especially those who've been through BCG treatment or are dealing with early-stage bladder cancer. • What was your experience with BCG treatment like day-to-day? • Have you or your doctors discussed any newer treatment combinations or clinical trials? The day-to-day experience with BCG treatment varies among patients, but many find it manageable with proper preparation and support from their healthcare team. It's encouraging to see research advancing in this area, including combination approaches that may offer new options for patients with early-stage bladder cancer. This community has many members who have navigated similar treatment journeys and would likely be happy to share their experiences and insights about managing treatment side effects and working with their medical teams.

I agree that BCG experiences really do vary from person to person, and you might also want to ask others here about any specific tips they found helpful for managing the treatment days or the recovery period afterward.

I have NMBIC high grade. Did BCG and small tumor reoccurred Then one yr of gem/doc chemo monthly. Still no tumors after 7 months since last procedure. Both seemed to be similar in uncomfort but no real side effects from either
