2 years agoMetaplastic carcinoma, triple negative, lymph node involvement, no spreading to other parts. I'll be starting keynote-522 next week. Anyone else on this regimen? What should or can I expect side effect-wise? What tips for minimizing side effects do you have?
Accepted Answer
Starting a new treatment regimen can bring up many questions about what to expect. The Keynote-522 protocol is designed specifically for triple negative breast cancer cases like yours, and many patients in this community have shared their experiences with similar treatments. Side effects can vary from person to person, so connecting with others who've been through this journey can provide valuable insights and practical tips for managing any challenges that come up.

6 months agoI just finished week 3 of this protocol. The keytruda was given in week 1. I did have a bad headache afterwards that did respond to Tylenol. Week 2 and 3 have been very easy for me. No nausea, some decreased appetite, no neuropathy, no extreme tiredness, I still have my hair. Tips are to drink a ton of water especially just before, during and the 24-48 hours after your infusion. Ice your hands and feet during the Taxol infusion. Eat minimally processed foods. Take walks. Take your prophylactic anti nausea meds.
