3 months agoFirst week taking Anastrozole. Dizziness, headache and unable to sleep. Feel like I can’t function. I have a message out to my oncologist. Any suggestions on how any of you managed being on it?

Starting a new medication can bring unexpected challenges, and reaching out to your oncologist was the right step. Many people in this community have found that side effects often improve as the body adjusts to treatment, though everyone's experience is different. Consider keeping a symptom diary to share with your medical team, and don't hesitate to ask about timing adjustments or other supportive strategies that might help with sleep and daily functioning.

3 months agoHi Heather, sorry to hear about your side effects. I'm not sure when you're taking yours, but I take anastrozole before I go to sleep. I sometimes have headaches during the day and will take Tylenol if it becomes too unbearable. I haven't experienced dizziness or inability to sleep though. Some people say the side effects go away once your body gets used to it, but I've taken this for 7 months and the hot flashes and joint pain are still very much there. I hope your oncologist will be able to help you with some relief.

3 months agoI've been on anastrazole for 2 months now. I have dizziness, but feel like it might be lessening. I also have headaches occasionally. I take it at night before bed to lessen the effects.
