How Do Chemotherapy Sessions Change Over Time?

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I just finished my second round of chemotherapy. My doctors are telling me each session may be a little tougher. I found my second was easier than my first session. Two rounds left to go. What is everyone’s experience? Do they get easier or more difficult?

Everyone's chemotherapy experience can vary quite a bit - some people find later sessions more challenging due to cumulative effects, while others, like yourself, may find they handle subsequent treatments better as they know what to expect. It's encouraging that your second round felt easier, and hopefully this positive trend continues for your remaining two sessions.

I have completed 5 rounds out of 16. They seem to be getting easier.

Georgia B My thoughts are with you. I hope your treatments get easier and easier. 16 treatments is a lot to endure.

Each Chemo for me was different. Easier just may mean you have less fear going in. Also I changed the fasting protocol from 1-3 days. I do not have side effects other than delayed hair loss, eyebrows, lashes. Side effects vary drastically per individual. Your story is your super hero. Stay in charge of your health. Ask questions. Take nothing as this can alleviate any block to chemo effectiveness. Eat hearty and workout inn between sessions. Be strong 💪🏼
