Hello everyone! I had lumpectomy and removal of axilary lymph nodes this past Friday. I have a drainage and my questions is what is the average number of days to get the drain removed? Thank you so much for your support!

Drain removal timing typically varies from person to person, but most patients have their drains removed within 1-2 weeks after surgery when drainage drops below a certain amount per day. The medical team will monitor the output and let you know when it's ready to come out - everyone heals at their own pace, so try not to worry if it takes a bit longer or shorter than expected. Wishing you a smooth recovery, and feel free to share how things go!
