2 years agoAnyone with experience on Zometa infusions for osteoporosis from an AI like Letrozole? Side effects? Thx.
Accepted Answer
Zometa infusions can be an important part of bone health management for those dealing with treatment-related osteoporosis, and experiences with side effects can vary quite a bit from person to person. This community is a great place to connect with others who may have firsthand experience with bisphosphonate infusions and can share insights about what to expect during and after treatment.

6 months agoYes I am on Letrozole every day 2.5 mg with Zometa every 3 months for the last 3 1/2 years. I have moderate joint pain but I also take 50mg of Lyrica every 12 hrs to help with the discomfort. I also do stretching with bands, ride a Airdyne indoor bike( it is a wind bike so you use your arms at the same time you peddle-it helps with joint pain), red light therapy and a lymphatic pump and walk 2-4 miles with trecking poles. I am very compliant due to I went off the meds 7 years ago at the time -it was just to much being thrown into menopause but cancer came back 3 1/2 years ago in my lower back. I am now stage lV and my husband and I wished I would have stayed on the meds and found things to make the side effects not so bad but just moving forward now and doing everything I can do be here by the grace of God. I now have no detections of cancer by PET scans every 3 months. 💕
