6 months from surgery having pain in breast and under arm where lymph nodes were removed. It’s like a burning pain. I’ve been called to have ultrasound scan tomorrow. This never ends and I’m fearful. 😵‍💫

Burning sensations after breast surgery and lymph node removal can be concerning, but this type of nerve-related discomfort is actually quite common during the healing process. The ultrasound scan will help provide clarity about what's happening, and it's completely understandable to feel anxious while waiting for answers - many others in this community have shared similar experiences and concerns.

I’m having similar pain after 3 years. My oncologist says she has some patients 10 years out still having nerve pain. She said the nerves don’t like to be messed with and don’t let you forget it.

Had mastectomy on May 1st/radiation just finished. Still having pain in underarm and chest. Just had 6 month checkup and doctor said it is normal from nerve damage and possibly will NEVER go away??
