My oncologist wants to start me on Zometa, I was stage 1A TNBC, have finished all my treatments and am 68 yrs old. Am a little nervous about this medication, can anyone give any insight on this. Thank you.

It's completely understandable to feel nervous about starting a new medication, especially after completing your treatment journey. Many community members have shared experiences with Zometa and similar medications, so connecting with others who have been in similar situations can provide valuable insights and peace of mind as you navigate this next step in your care.

I get Zometa every 6 weeks. It takes about 15 min to infuse. I have not had any issues. The next day I feel a little stiff. I take an anti- inflammatory ( Motrin ).

Starting on Zometa on Tuesday. Hopefully no issues. Every 12 weeks. Getting it the same day as my Fulvestrant shots.
