a year agoCapecitabine Question. Hello! Second time around TNBC lady here. Saw my oncologist today (after mastectomy a couple of months ago). He told me I can’t have the same chemo as last time (4 x EC and 12 x Paclitaxel) as I’ve exceeded over half the lifetime dose of EC and I have grade 3 peripheral neuropathy in my fingers and toes from the Paclitaxel. So I’m left with Capecitabine tablets for 6 months (3 weeks on, 1 week off). Has anyone had this, and what was the pattern of feeling rubbish? Is it all the time or does it build up over time? Thank you 😊

Many people in this community have shared their experiences with capecitabine, and the side effects can vary quite a bit from person to person - some notice fatigue and other effects building up over the treatment cycles, while others find the off-week helps them recover. It sounds like you're navigating some complex treatment decisions, and connecting with others who've been through similar experiences can be really valuable during this time.
