a year agoI am through 9 of 20 radiation treatments for bc. Itching driving me crazy right now can I use a cortisone cream so I can get some sleep tonight?
Accepted Answer
Radiation-induced skin reactions like itching are very common during breast cancer treatment, and it's completely understandable to seek relief when it's affecting your sleep. It's really important to check with your radiation oncology team before using any topical products during treatment, as some creams can interfere with radiation or worsen skin reactions. Many treatment centers have specific guidelines about which products are safe to use, and they may be able to recommend gentle alternatives or adjust your care plan to help manage this uncomfortable side effect.
