5 months agoHi…..diagnosed with TNBC Dec ‘24. I have gone through 4 months of chemo including red devil. Had lumpectomy 3wks ago and pathetic report was 98% complete response to chemo with 2mm tumor removed with one lymph node, and clean margins. Today I felt as if I was punched in the gut when oncologist said path report was bad news and that along with radiation I needed to do 8 months of oral chemo drug Capecitabine. Has anyone done this drug and what was your experience? Side effects? I’m devastated thinking about 8 months of this. I did cold capping before and kept most of my hair and now I’m told not to worry about that. I actually feel so much better and rebuilding strength and energy only to be told I will have more setbacks….again. 😢 Any thoughts are welcomed. Thank you!

4 months agoI had to take Capecitabine for 5 months after treatment. I didn’t lose my hair and the side effects were minimal.
