Hi, I’ve was diagnosed with Stage 4 MBC last year at this time. I’ve been on Letrozole and Verzenio for a year. I’m doing ok for the most part but recently having an increase in diarrhea and sometimes vomiting with the diarrhea. I am wondering if my diet is contributing to the problem. My question is for anyone on Verzenio with experience with foods that contribute to the diarrhea and what to eat instead. Thanks in advance for any assistance. 🙂

Managing side effects while on treatment can be challenging, and dietary adjustments often play a helpful role in reducing gastrointestinal symptoms. Many patients find that avoiding high-fiber foods, spicy dishes, dairy products, and caffeine can help minimize diarrhea, while focusing on bland, easy-to-digest options like bananas, rice, toast, and clear broths may provide relief. Speaking with your healthcare team about these symptoms is important, as they may have specific dietary recommendations or other strategies to help manage these side effects effectively.

I have the same questions. I have been on Versenio for 5 months. Have you used Imodium for the diarrhea? That clears it up for me. I recently had Mexican food and I think that did me in for 3 days! I am the best when I cook for myself.

Imodium was given to me when I started taking Verzenio, I didn’t take Imodium every day, it depends on what I ate. Nothing tasted the same when I was on Verzenio
