3 years agoIn the middle of AC-T chemo. Anyone know if cdb/thc gummies are ok to help with sleep?
Accepted Answer
This is such an important question to discuss with your oncology team, as they know your specific treatment plan and can provide guidance on potential interactions with your medications. Many cancer centers have experience with patients using cannabis products for symptom management, so they may have helpful insights about what's safe during your particular chemotherapy regimen. Have others in the community found success discussing sleep support options with their care teams?

6 months agoI live in Illinois & have a cannabis medical card. I don't care for the store bought edibles. I purchased a cannabis machine that can make gummies & butter. I made 5 sticks of butter & put a pat of it in my food. So much better & helps my whole body relax & not ache. I know it will be less of an expense, too.

6 months agoI wish someone would reply to you. I didn’t have chemo but I’m curious about the gummies myself regarding sleep. I barely get four hours a night.

6 months agoI have not tried them but maybe a quick call or message to your oncologist might get you the answer. I've heard on the news recently that the actual amount of cbd in the gummies may be more than indicated so please use with caution.

6 months agoGummies relieved my joint pain. However, a lot of the medicines (like for nausea) has "drowsy" as a side effect. This, mixed with CBD/THC, could be very dangerous. As with anything, I would check with your doctor first.

6 months agoHi Jasmine - I’m a hemp wellness advocate who has used cbd throughout my journey with Taxol & now herceptin. I use both broad spectrum (no thc) & full spectrum (trace thc - amount that’s legal in all 50 states) tincture or gummy both for daytime support (nausea, pain, anxiety, hormone balance, mood, focus, etc) & at night for sleep. I use the CBDA isolate to enhance this as well. I would encourage you to find a Cbd that is grown here in the US & is USDA Organic. The hemp plant is a “mop crop” - it soaks up all the toxins in the soil + water that is then a part of your cbd. When using hemp to heal & support you want the cleanest, purest form! Let me know if you need any recommendations. I can’t imagine walking this road without the hope & healing in hemp!

6 months agoI've taken CBD and cbg for years. I listed them in my supplements on my medical record. No one has said anything against me taking them.
