Accepted Answer
Bone marrow biopsies can feel overwhelming to think about, and it's completely natural to have concerns when facing any medical procedure. Many people in cancer treatment communities have shared their experiences with various tests and procedures, and connecting with others who understand can provide valuable support and insight. Consider sharing more about your specific concerns or questions - the community here often has helpful perspectives to offer from their own journeys.

6 months agoA couple of years ago I had been diagnosed with MGUS. In order to find out why my blood work was messed up they had to do the bone biopsy which okay I did it. It wasn't too big of a deal. I think I made it more of a big deal than anything because nobody tells you what to expect. Well here it is from me to you of what to expect. Take some pain medicine before you go in about an hour before the procedure and then take it as you're supposed to after it's done. You're going to feel tender but having pain meds on board before the procedure definitely takes the edge off. Hope this helps. Stay strong you will be just fine.

6 months agoI am so sorry you are having to go through this. I'm sorry you were in so much pain with it. Any kind of biopsy that you ever have my advice is to always take pain meds whatever it may be about an hour before you have the procedure done. Take good care
