Has anyone had issues with swelling after DIEP flap reconstruction?? My breast's just Keep swelling and it is painful. I am 2.5 weeks post op. It's crazy. I think food is triggering the swelling or it's lymphatic. Any thoughts??

Swelling at 2.5 weeks post-op can be part of the normal healing process, though the pain and ongoing changes you're experiencing are understandably concerning and worth discussing with your surgical team. Many others in this community have navigated similar post-surgical experiences and may have helpful insights to share about their recovery journey.

Teresa, The only implants that I was allowed were saline, due to autoimmune problems, and I did exceptionally well. 2.5 weeks post op is still very early and I feel sure that your plastic surgeons will watch you very closely. Hang in there and do exactly as they advise. I wish you the very best. 🙏
