9 months agoI finished radiation on 12/31-(30 treatments) and was taken off of Tamoxifen after only two months because of drug induced liver injury. Seems I’m a rare case with liver damage as a result of cancer treatment. My cancer was hormone positive, but I’m fearful of even considering the aromatase inhibitors at this juncture. Anyone else have this experience?
Accepted Answer
Treatment-related liver complications, while uncommon, can certainly happen and create difficult decisions about continuing hormone therapy. Many community members have shared similar experiences with medication adjustments due to side effects, and it's completely understandable to feel cautious about next steps. Consider discussing all your concerns and options thoroughly with your oncology team, as they can help weigh the risks and benefits based on your specific situation.

7 months agoI’ve been taking Anastrozole for about nine months after lumpectomy and radiation for my hormone positive breast cancer. So far insomnia is my only side effect. Really annoying for sure so I’m going to try magnesium.

7 months agoI was on Anastrozole for several months but I started experiencing very bad leg and feet cramps several times a night so I had to jump off.
