I have been on arimidex for 5 months and joint inflammation and long bone pain. Anyone overcome this? My onc is taking me off for 2 weeks. I am getting gel injections in knees this week as the pain has become unbearable. I have invasive lobular and Dcis . Any input is appreciated.

Joint pain and inflammation are common challenges many people face while on aromatase inhibitors, and it's encouraging that your oncologist is being proactive by giving you a treatment break and that you're getting gel injections for relief. Many community members have shared experiences with managing these side effects through various approaches like gentle exercise, physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, or switching to different hormone therapy options - hopefully others will chime in with what has worked for them.

I was on Anastrazole for 7 years with no side effects except hot flashes for the first month. I’m having the joint pain and body aches with the Taxol infusions.

Try turmeric for the inflammation/ joint pain. That helped me a lot. It comes in little jars and usually you can find them near the juices at your supermarket, target or Walmart. The only I like is by Solti. I do one a day and it makes a big difference.
