9 months agoAny suggestions for relief from hot flashes with Anastrozole? That’s the only side effect I’ve experienced so far. Well, that and sometimes it’s hard to fall asleep. Currently taking before bed but thinking about trying in the morning.
Accepted Answer
Hot flashes are a common experience with aromatase inhibitors like Anastrozole, and many patients find relief through various approaches including timing adjustments, lifestyle changes, and discussing options with their healthcare team. Switching to morning dosing might help with the sleep difficulties, and many people in this community have shared helpful strategies for managing these side effects - hopefully others will chime in with what has worked for them.

6 months agoI am on meds for high cholesterol so have some joint pain from that. Haven’t noticed any different pain in my joints. I have a follow up appointment in a few weeks. Maybe they will improve or my doctor will change it.

6 months agoI would question the cholesterol pills. Unless it’s over 300 you don’t need it. You need cholesterol for brain junction and muscle

6 months agoUncontrolled mine is pretty high. Seems to be hereditary. I see my GP early May so may discuss that option if still having issues. Today has been less hot flashes and I did take my meds this morning. Fingers crossed not terrible tonight

6 months agoStatin drugs are known to deplete naturally occurring CoQ10 in your body. You might check with your doctor if adding CoQ10 supplements might help with your joint pain. It comes in many different dosages so please ask your doctor what strength is recommended for your personal situation.

6 months agoVeozah is a new non hormonal medication for hot flashes and night sweats. I’ve been it for over a year now and it helps a lot. Ask your doc to prescribe. Since it is new it may require a pre authorization from your insurance.

6 months agoHi newly diagnosed with DCIS. Just had lumpectomy surgery yesterday. Now waiting for pathology results. Already know possible radiation treatments and most likely hormone therapy. I have had 2 hip replacements and now need a third at same time going through cancer. CoQ10 for muscle aches with cholesterol meds has definitely taken the cramps away. Wonder if it also works with AI medicines?
