2 years agoI have had a mastectomy left breast. Tumor was large and 29 lymph nodes were involved. I am 86 yrs old but very healthy otherwise. Now I am scheduled for radiation and new chemo pill Verzenio. Anybody else trying this? I question whether to take the chemo pill for 2 years and lessen my current quality of life. How many more years can I expect, after all? Thoughts?

Your question about Verzenio treatment decisions at your stage of life is one that many community members can relate to, and it's completely understandable to weigh treatment benefits against quality of life concerns. The decision about whether to pursue adjuvant therapy involves many personal factors that only you and your medical team can fully evaluate together. Others in this community may have faced similar treatment decisions and could share their experiences to help you think through your options.

6 months agoHi Kay! That's my middle name 😁. My case is different than yours but that's a good question. Maybe your medical oncologist can answer?. I would think the chemo pill may be based on your type of cancer? I don't know. Just wanted to respond. Ill be thinking of you. Hope to see a progess report on here ( if your up to it).
