I have DCIS O positive,I just had a lumpectomy, the reviewed it under the microscope, and said they want to do another surgery. I refused, so they said sine you refused, a second surgery, when you go radiation, we're going to do the whole left breast, instead of targeting the exact spot where we removed the mass, what should I do, should I just take the pill for five years, or do the radiation and the pill, I'm so confused

This sounds like a really challenging decision to navigate, and it's completely understandable to feel confused when weighing different treatment options. Treatment decisions for DCIS can involve many factors that are unique to each person's situation, so discussing the benefits and risks of radiation versus hormone therapy with your oncology team would be most helpful. Many people in this community have faced similar crossroads with their treatment plans, so sharing your experience here might help others who are going through something similar while also giving you a chance to hear from those who understand what you're going through.

It sounds like your doctors believe you are at risk for a recurrence. I would ask them for the reasons behind their recommendations and discuss the pros and cons with them.
